Attention: School Board Presidents, Superintendents & Education Attorneys

We are pleased to announce that Hennes Communications is now providing crisis management and crisis communications services to the Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA), giving their members access to our team 24/7/365.  Those services include pre-crisis planning, 24/7 crisis response, crisis/media training, litigation communications support, communications audits and tabletop drills.

As has already been announced, the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) has a similar partnership with Hennes Communications to provide crisis management and communications services to public school systems throughout the state of Ohio facing sudden challenges to their organizations’ reputations and operations and likely to find themselves “on trial in the Court of Public Opinion.”

As was said, by OSBA Association Chief Legal Counsel Sara C. Clark:

“Hennes Communications comes to OSBA with deep experience providing school districts throughout the state and throughout the country with counsel that makes a difference. I’ve seen the firm work hand in hand with attorneys to develop and execute solid crisis management strategies that help preserve reputations and advance board objectives — all while helping staff, parents and the community understand the issues at hand and what is being done to address them. Simply put, Hennes Communications understands how attorneys think and how they practice law. Given their unique perspective, school districts already in or about to be faced with contentious issues would do well to have Hennes Communications in the room and alongside their lawyers.”

With both partnerships, OSBA member school leaders have access 365 days a year to expert crisis communications professionals.

The OSBA recently expanded its strategic partnership with Hennes Communications to offer members communication audit services. A communication audit assesses the effectiveness of school communications with parents, taxpayers and other stakeholders and provides specific recommendations for improvement.

“It’s this simple: Taxpayers deserve to know how their money is being spent, and communications play a critical role in building trust that a community’s money is being used wisely to educate the community’s children,” said Hennes Communications Managing Partner Thomas Fladung. “We live in a noisy world. A well-done communications audit can help a school district learn how to break through with clear, concise and understandable messages that are heard.”
