UK Terrorism Specialist Provides Sage Advice for Crisis Management and Preparation

[by Nora Jacobs, Hennes Communications] We devote a lot of ink and paper to helping clients plan how they will prepare for, and then respond to, the various crisis threats their organizations may face.  In this article, reporters from The Financial summarize advice provided by Sir Mark Rowley at a London Business School event.  In six succinct steps, Rowley provides solid insight regarding the work companies need to do before a crisis strikes and tactics for marshalling the management team when the worst happens.  Note as well his observation regarding authentic messaging.  For those who don’t recognize the name, Rowley was the United Kingdom’s national lead for counter-terrorism policing until his retirement this past January.  Among other work, he led the response to the suicide bomber who killed 22 and injured 116 in a blast set off at the end of an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena in May 2017.
